Terms & Conditions
Reservations -- Accommodation:
- Reservations through the website or by e-mail MUST be made prior to the day of arrival. If you want to make a reservation for the same day, please get in touch with the hostel of your choice by telephone.
- Reservations through the website or by e-mail always receive an automatic confirmation e-mail to inform we received your reservation. After booking, as soon as possible our staff will get in touch with you. If you do not receive a personal response from the hostel of your choice this means your request booking has not been confirmed.
- When arriving after 19.00 pm without an airport pick up reservation, we will not automatically hold your reserved bed; you should reconfirm your reservation on the same day by telephone.
- We will make every effort to accommodate you in the room size of your choice. However, because of the nature of our business, we may have to place you in a different sized room.
- We will make every effort to ensure you are accommodated in the same room throughout your stay, due to limited availability it may be necessary to change rooms.
- Due to limited availability at time of arrival, multi-share accommodation for two or more guests may be provided in separate rooms. We will make every effort to ensure this does not occur, but should this be necessary you will be advised at check-in.
- Making a reservation with The Point hostels is FREE OF CHARGE. In exchange we ask from you that you cancel your reservation as soon as possible if you do not want to make use of it.
- A hotel day starts at 06.00 am; if you arrive before this time you have to make a reservation and will be charged for the previous date as well.
- We reserve the right to add ‘value added tax’ (IGV) to our prices.
- We reserve the right to change prices without previous notice.
Reservations -- Airport Pick-up:
- In order to pick you up from the airport we need the exact arrival time, number and origin of your flight.
- We will only pick you up from the airport after a confirmation within 48 hours before scheduled arrival.
- We can carry a maximum of four (4) persons per car. If your group consists of more persons, we need to send extra cars and will charge you for each of them.
- As soon as a pickup has been confirmed, you are liable for payment. In other words, if you miss our driver for whatever reason, we will charge you for the made expenses.
- Our driver will wait for you until one hour after arrival time. In case something goes wrong (a sudden delay or cancellation) you have to inform us immediately by telephone.
- We reserve the right to change prices without previous notice.
- Reservations will be confirmed with a deposit of 50% of the amount indicated in each tour by WESTERN UNION www.westernunion.com , and 50% must be paid at least 2 days prior to the date of service. Any additional requests must be made in advance so we can take appropriate action.
Cancellations:
- Adventure Peru Tours would like to inform you about our cancellation policy:
- You may cancel the majority of our trips up to 10 days before departure.
- Any cancellation within 10 days of the trip will result in a loss of your deposit.
If you cancel or change the date of an Inca Trail trip you must do so 2 months ahead of the departure date. This is due to the Inca Trail regulations and reservations policy where we must purchase trail permits and train tickets far in advance. According to INRENA, the governmental agency regulating traffic on the Inca Trail, if you cancel with less than 2 months to the departure date you will not receive any refund. You may be able to use part of your deposit and apply it towards another tour with Adventure Peru Tours. - If you have any questions or concerns about our cancellation** policy please feel free to contact our office.
- The parties agree that APT is the only company, who will answer before third party for any claim, And/or damage and/or related direct and/or indirectly for the activities that THE AGENCY realizes, in the establishments of THE POINT HOSTELS
General Terms & Conditions:
- Check in time is 14.00 pm. Naturally, if a room or bed is ready before this time you can make use of it straight away.
- Check out time is 12 noon. If you leave after this time we will charge you for half a night before 20.00pm or a full night after 20.00 pm.
- Security: The Point Hostels, its employees and contractors accept no responsibility for personal accidents, injury suffered or loss or damage to personal property while on hostel property. Travel insurance is recommended.
- Age restrictions: We accept all ages but we ask from you that you are at least young at heart. Persons under 18 should be supervised by adults.
- Pet restrictions: Animals are not allowed in our hostels.
- Drugs: It is prohibited to bring and/ or use any type of illegal drugs in our hostels.
- Alcohol: It is prohibited to bring alcohol into the hostels and to consume alcohol inside the rooms.
- Outside persons: It is prohibited to bring strangers into the hostel without previous authorization from the manager and when authorized they must leave their passport or identity card at reception.
- The Point Hostels are not responsible for changes of schedules and/or delays in transportation, tours or guides booked though us.
- The Point Hostels are not responsible for accidents which can occur as a result of participation in tours booked through us, including our airport taxi service.
Note: The Point hostels management & staff retain the right to refuse accommodation to anyone at any time.
